Dermatological manifestations resulting from cancer treatment negatively affect a patient's quality of life and functional capacity, requiring multidisciplinary actions within the scope of comprehensive health care. In this context, university extension projects in dermatofunctional physiotherapy represent relevant strategies for specialized care delivery, student training, and the production of applied knowledge aligned with the realities of health services. The study aimed to describe the clinical and sociodemographic profile of oncology patients treated in a university extension project in dermatofunctional physiotherapy, with emphasis on the main skin manifestations associated with antineoplastic treatment. This retrospective cross-sectional study was developed through the analysis of medical records of patients treated free of charge in a university extension project at the Federal University of Paraná. A total of 45 medical records were analyzed, considering sociodemographic, clinical, and dermatological variables. The sample consisted predominantly of women (95,5%), with a mean age of 46,9 ± 12,7 years, and a higher prevalence of breast cancer (57,7). Chemotherapy was the most frequently reported oncological treatment (66,6%), followed by surgery (48,8%) and radiotherapy (46,6%). The most prevalent skin manifestations were xerosis (62,2%), edema (60,0%), altered sensation (48,8%), hair loss (41,9%), and skin scaling (40,0%). The findings indicate a high demand for dermatofunctional care in the oncological context and reinforce the role of university extension as a strategy for health care delivery, professional training, and the integration of teaching, research, and community engagement, contributing to improved quality of life among oncology patients.
