Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • All web page addresses (URLs) included in the text (e.g., http://www.ibict.br) are active and clickable.
  • The manuscript adheres to the style guidelines, bibliographic requirements and template available for each submission type. If the article is not formatted according to the TEMPLATE provided for its submission type, it will not be sent for review and will be rejected during the preliminary evaluation.
  • The article offers a contribution to the field of University Extension, arising from extension activities or from theoretical and methodological studies that involve the guidelines and areas of Extension. Research articles, course completion papers, dissertations or theses that are not related to University Extension will not be accepted.
  • Authors are responsible for verifying plagiarism in their article. The report generated by the software used must be included with the article submission. (Suggested free software: CopySpider)
  • The article references at least two works published in the journal Extensão em Foco (for submissions from June 1, 2025 onward).
  • The author identification has been removed from the text and file. If it is found that the authors did not follow this recommendation, the article will be rejected during the preliminary evaluation.

To ensure the integrity of the blind peer‐review process, every possible measure must be taken to avoid revealing the identities of those involved:

    AUTHORS:

Remove all author names from the manuscript (both on the title page—below the title and in the footer—and anywhere else, such as references or footnotes).

Apply document inspection to remove personal information (see example below).

All complete author information, including affiliation, academic degrees, ORCID, home institution, city and country, must be entered in the submission metadata within the journal system. Articles that do not meet this requirement will be rejected.

    REVIEWERS:

If you upload a revised version of the manuscript (with notes, comments, etc.), apply document inspection to remove your personal information (see example below).

Example of removing personal information in Microsoft Office:

Go to File in the main menu
    Select Info
Click Check for Issues > Inspect Document
Enable Document Properties and Personal Information and click Inspect

After the inspection completes, click Remove All under the personal information section
  • A contribuição é original e inédita e não está sendo avaliada para publicação por outra revista; caso contrário, justifique em Comentários ao Editor.
  • ConfiguraçõesSubmission files must be in Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format provided they do not exceed 20 MB.
