Abstract

The concept of juridical anthropophagy is problematized in this essay, which aims to contribute to the discussion fostered by Mario Losano when commenting on the author’s doctoral thesis, defended in 2011. The first part of the essay presents a literature review of the few uses of the concept in Brazil, for, in a second time, discuss with Mario Losano on the use of sociology and history as constituent elements of any legal thinking. Taking juridical anthropophagy as a starting point, the author reconstructs the debates occurred during his research on the history of law and on social movements.
