This article reports the analysesand conclusions based on observations aboutthe Brazilian Criminal Court, which originatedthe thesis under the title Criminal Court inBrazil Nowadays: Democratic Discourse –Authoritarian Practice. The aim of thisresearch is to reflect on the contemporarycriminal policy, focussing on the increasein repression and the recurrent sentences toimprisonment. Such policy, implemented inBrazil in 1985, in the new era of democracyafter a long period of dictatorship, is adjustedto the current liberal project in Brazil and inpractically all the capitalist Occident.Downloads
