The implementation of a subproject which is part of a larger Project sponsored by tha CNPq entitled "Alternative social and health services to the high-risk aged who live with the family and in the community". This is a nursing research and assistance program, with a research-action methodological approach developed in a community health center (CSII) in the county of Florianópolis, wich aims to offer assistance to the frail aged persons within their own homes, and to investigate the implications brought about by nursing actions, performed along with layperson caregivers either family members or not.
