Abstract

Objetivo: avaliar a saúde mental de crianças e adolescentes de acordo com a teoria de Calista Roy.

Método: pesquisa quantitativa realizada com cuidadores e/ou responsáveis de crianças e adolescentes do município de Lagarto/SE - BR, de novembro de 2022 a março de 2023. Realizou-se a coleta de dados com caracterização sociodemográfica e clínica da criança/adolescente, além do Questionário de Capacidades e Dificuldades, de Goodman, analisados por frequência relativa e absoluta e associação.

Resultados: das 102 crianças e adolescentes, 59% apresentaram perfil clínico, sugerindo problemas de saúde mental, com destaque para o domínio de hiperatividade e falta de atenção. Os modos adaptativos se mostraram integrados, o fisiológico com maior coesão e o autoconceito com maior alteração.

Conclusão: os resultados sugerem presença de problemas de saúde mental, com manutenção dos processos adaptativos, em que os modos de Roy respondem de maneira coordenada aos estímulos externos. A enfermagem pode atuar no fortalecimento de fatores protetores, promovendo bem-estar mental a crianças e adolescentes.
