By improving communication with the patient, we´ll be automatically deepening our knowledge and ways of thinking. This is especially important in child care. Several cases and problems were brought up, as a means to better visualize the difficulties found and search for solutions and more appropriate communication to deal with the varied situations faced on a daily basis in Child Intensive Care Unit (UTIP). The nursing team seems to be more concerned about communication with pediatric patients, aiming their well being and recovery while in Intensive Care Unit.
