Twenty cheese samples were colleteá in Blumenau (se) aná were submitted to analysis in order to verify the presence of fecal coliforms and Escherichia co Li., The results revealed that 70% and 20% were not within present legal specifications for, respectively, fecal coliforms and Escherichia coli.
