Abstract

This work aims to compare the obtention of k-casein as to its purity, yielding and obtention rate. It was concluded that casein fractioning with urea separates k-casein with a high degree of purity. Both methods showed practically identical eletrophoretic resu1ts, while the Sephadex filtration method gives some advantages.
