STUDY OF PASSION-FRUIT BY-PRODUCTS: III – OBTAINING OIL AND PIE

Abstract


From the oil extracted of the seeds, yield, physical and chemical characteristics were determined. Also, fatty acids were identified through gas liquid chromatography (G.L.C.). Chemical and physical-chemical analysis of the seed cake were made. It was observed in the seed a yield of (19.1%) of edible oil with high content of linoleic acid (68.7%). Physical and chemical characteristics of the oil were determinated. The seed cake have showed extremely high contents of fibers and fais amounts of protein and NIFEXT
