Das Páginas de As Crônicas de Gelo e Fogo às telas de Game of Thrones: A adaptação da mãesposa Catelyn Stark

Developed from a broader research, this text aims to reflect on the adaptation of the character Catelyn Stark from the literary narrative A Song of Ice and Fire to the audiovisual narrative Game of Thrones in interface with gender issues, especially motherhood. From a critical cultural analysis of the media, and from a protocol developed for the study of audiovisual scenes, we observe how, in the process of transposing the pages to the screen, hegemonic places are reiterated around the representation of the mother-wife and disruptive traits of the character that were present in the literary plot are abandoned.
