This article proposes reflections about possibilities of English interactions from literature produced by women, using the idea that literature as an ally in practice with different points of view. From that scenario, it is possible to introduce decolonial and non-hegemonic concepts in English interactions, and for that the article intends a research made from the critical perspective to Sandra Cisneros (2020) in “A House of My Own”, in order to recognize experiences that are structed from socially constructed categories, from the author and narrator world perspective. For theoretical foundation, HOOKS (2013), CANAGARAJAH (2010), KACHRU (1985), FERREIRA (2015) and KILOMBA (2016) stand out. In conclusion, by proposing pedagogical practices that discuss and question both literature and language hegemony, it is possible to create access and highlight to different world view constructions, in language education contexts to build and engaged pedagogy that consider multiculturality involving language.
