Abstract

Este texto visa apresentar o artigo “O papel dos materiais nas aulas de língua: encontrando o equilíbrio” (The role of materials in the language classroom: finding the balance) escrito pela professora Jane Crawford que faz parte de uma antologia de metodologia de ensino organizada pelos autores Jack Richards e Willy Renandya. Crawford propõem ao leitor alguns questionamentos sobre o uso de materiais e alguns critérios para auxiliar o professor a escolhê-los. O artigo trata de um tema relevante com uma linguagem accessível.

Graduada em Letras pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná – PUCPR; Especialista em “Ensino de Línguas Estrangeiras Modernas” na Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná - UTFPR e professora de língua inglesa da rede pública estadual na Educação de Jovens e Adultos.
