Abstract
The article intends to show the occurrency or not of some macroeconomic events identified by the literature as stylized facts. Those stylized facts have been associated with exchange-rate-based stabilization (ERBS) processes that took place in Latin America. This study has selected the experiences of Chilean tablita (1978-1982), the Mexican Solidariety Pact (1988-1994) and the Convertibility Law of Argentina (1991-2002). The analysis is based over the assumption that it may occurr in latin american pattern of macroeconomic evolution associated with the ERBS processes. The macroeconomic concepts and relationships analysed in this article are: nominal and real interest rate and private per capita consumption, exchange nominal rate, inflation rate for consumers and real exchange rate, and relative prices.
