The article aims to analyze the United States of America (USA) Soft Power through the use of the digital platform Twitter as a political tool in the administration of former President Donald Trump. The research is divided into three parts, aiming to: conceptualize the term “Soft Power” in terms of international relations; explain about the social network Twitter as a modern political mechanism and analyze the tweets of the former Yankee president Donald Trump and their characterization from the typologies of Joseph Nye. The working hypothesis is that the provocative publications of former President Trump on Twitter, through his term as head of state of one of the greatest world powers, are part of Nye's typologies by influencing mass culture, tarnishing universal political values and to exposing the contours of US foreign policy, which, however, became less legitimate for other states. Therefore, in order to achieve the desired objective, the article will apply a qualitative methodology, using a theoretical bibliographic reference, making use of scientific articles and news from newspapers and digital magazines. It is argued that the controversial administration of his Twitter account by Donald Trump (2017-2021) had impacts on the Soft Power of the United States of America (USA), causing diplomatic crises and international tensions.
