Abstract

Estudo descritivo com objetivo de analisar o cumprimento da Resolução COFEN-293/2004, relativa ao dimensionamento de recursos humanos de enfermagem em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva Neonatal de um Hospital Público Federal de ensino em Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. Os dados foram coletados por meio de um instrumento contendo questões fechadas, organizados com recursos do EPIData 3.02 e analisados comparativamente com o quadro ideal de acordo com a referida Resolução. Observou-se que na definição do quadro de pessoal que o serviço atende apenas as normas do Ministério da Saúde e que tanto o serviço quanto o Ministério da Saúde não cumprem os dispositivos da Norma Técnica, além de ferir os dispositivos constantes na Lei do Exercício dos Profissionais de Enfermagem, o que indica a baixa institucionalidade dos dispositivos legais que regulamenta a profissão no país.
