Novo registro do raro Campylocentrum schlechterianum (Angraecinae-Orchidaceae) para Minas Gerais, Brasil

Abstract

During a field expedition to the Poços de Caldas Plateau region of Minas Gerais, specimens of Campylocentrum schlechterianum were found and collected. This orchid was described about a decade ago and is currently known from three specimens from the states of São Paulo and Santa Catarina. This work provides the first record for the state of Minas Gerais. Photographs of the live plant are also presented for the first time. Additionally, a description, distribution, ecological and taxonomic comments, and conservation information for the species are included.
