Peer Review Process
In order to ensure the integrity of blind peer review, it is recommended to take all possible care with submissions to the journal so that the identity of authors and evaluators is not revealed during the process. This requires that authors, editors and reviewers (likely to send documents to the system as part of the evaluation process) take some precautions to text and document properties, such as:
- The authors of the document must obligatorily delete from the text their names, so replacing them with the word author and the year in references, footnotes etc. The title of the article must also be suppressed.
- In documents of Microsoft Office, the identification of the authors must be removed from the properties of the document (in the menu File > Properties), beginning in File > Save as... > Tools (or Options in Mac) > Security Options... > Remove personal information from file on save > OK > Save.
- In PDFs, the names of the authors must also be removed from Document Properties, in File, in the main menu of Adobe Acrobat.
