Abstract

This research goal is to make a quantitative and qualitative analysis of the texts published at theFolha de S. Paulo newspaper where were some mention to the ideologists Caio Prado Jr., Sérgio Buarquede Holanda and Gilberto Freyre. It approaches the journalism as a social field mediator to other socialfields. It deals with the connotation theory and the myths, based on Roland Barthes, to talk about ideologyin journalistic discourse. It makes a survey of published texts and uses the comparative method to analyzeit. It concludes with commentaries about the three authors permanence at the brazilian press, moreprecisely at the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper.
