Culture and antibiogram tests results from six cases of corneal ulcers in horses

Abstract

Corneal ulcer is an important disorder
of the horse eyes, leading to blindness if not treated
properly. The objective of this retrospective study
is to show the importance of the knowlegde of the
comensal microbial flora of horse eyes in order to
use a fast and appropriated treatment in case of
corneal ulcer. The therapy can be adjusted after
the results of culture and antibiogram tests are
obtained.
