Ra'e Ga Journal - Geographic Space in Analysis is a digital journal, with a four-monthly periodicity (since 2011), maintained by the Department of Geography and Postgraduate Program in Geography of the Federal University of Paraná - Brazil.
RA'E GA is a simple composition term of Tupi-Guarani and Kaingáng origin whose meanings are "to discover" (RA'E - tupi-guarani) and "Earth" (GA - kaingáng), hence the subtitle THE GEOGRAPHIC SPACE IN ANALYSIS . The choice of this name is a tribute to the history and culture of the Tupi-Guarani and Kaingáng Indians, two indigenous nations who occupied for a long time a large portion of Paraná State and whose population maintained a harmonious relationship with its space and its environment .
Ra'e Ga Journal was created in 1997, being published annually only in paper (ISSN 1516-4136). In 2005, from number 9 onwards, it was published semiannually both in paper and online, being fully online from number 17 onwards, now called Ra'e Ga (Online) - Geographic Space in Analysis (ISSN 2177-2738).
