This article aims at discussing the relationship between Flávio Suplicy de Lacerda and the representatives as well as social practices of Brazilian armed forces, in particular the military government (1964-1985), as well as his offensive against communists and the student organization. This article is based on the organs of the press, on the records of the University Council and on the reports and speeches published in the Federal University of Paraná Yearbook. In addition, this article is based on the concept of trajectory defined by Pierre Bourdieu. When comparing this concept with the data from sources, one can state that this person promoted a number of actions which prove his organic relationship with authoritarian thought and practices. This is because he repeatedly stated that Marxism and/or communism were subversive to ethical and moral values, as well as emphasizing that the salvationist crusade would be under the responsibility of groups associated to civil-military.
