Abstract

Soninké society has managed to last in time and space in spiteof migration which has turned into a structural phenomenon. Intransnational situation, the social reproduction of a traditional order, based on the patrilinaje and crossed of multiple inequalities (amongsocial classes, generations and gender), is possible by the update of different solidarity networks and mutual commitment, that characterizesthis society as familiar as much as communitarian. And that is translatedthrough economics aid and associationism. Nevertheless, increasingborder’s closing, such as in Europe, as well as the situation of thesecond and third generations born in diaspora would be putting in dangersoninke society as a whole.
