VULNERABILIDAD DE ACUÍFEROS

Resumo

Se mencionan las definiciones y las metodologías más empleadas respecto a la
vulnerabilidad de acuíferos. Se propone un nuevo método para establecer en
forma cualitativa la vulnerabilidad de acuíferos libres y otro para acuíferos
semiconfinados. Se concluye que el avance en el desarrollo de modelos y el uso
de sistemas como el SIG, apuntan hacia la formulación de métodos cuantitativos
en el futuro.

ABSTRACT

This paper provides definitions and a description of the most commonly used
methods related to aquifer vulnerability. A new methodology for phreatic aquifers is
proposed, together with another one for semi-confined aquifers. It is concluded that
the advance in the development of models and the use of information systems
such as GIS, forecast a tendency towards the formulation of quantitative methods
in the future.
