Abstract

In this dossier we seek to offer a space for dialogue between fields that, within anthropology, explore apparently dissimilar areas. We wondered if there might be something in the enormous variety that characterizes anthropological knowledge and practice that would allow us to bring together seemingly unconnected fields. Our interest was not in the epistemology of connections, but rather in what is at stake when we think about this concept: what is connected, how is it made, in what ways do the practices of knowledge production associated with scientific crafts such as anthropology, the arts and others come together to create something new, and how are these connections sustained or destroyed?
