Abstract

O objetivo desse ensaio é apresentar a história de um jovem atleta da modalidade judô, que dedicou parte da sua vida ao esporte e contou com todo apoio da família. Após sofrer com constantes lesões decidiu abandonar o esporte, regressar para sua cidade natal e dedicar-se aos estudos. A perspectiva educacional quando atleta sempre esteve presente na sua jornada. Os dados foram obtidos através de entrevistas. Conclui-se a importância de políticas que permitam a conciliação entre os processos de formação esportiva e educacional.
