Abstract

O objetivo dessa pesquisa é analisar e discutir as dificuldades dos árbitros da cidade de Corumbá-MS em fazer parte e se manter no quadro da FFMS (Federação de futebol de Mato Grosso do Sul). Pautou-se metodologicamente pela história oral que trata da narrativa de sujeitos que se expressam a partir de suas experiências vividas. Notou-se que a invisibilidade do futebol Sul-mato-grossense no cenário nacional, a desvalorização dos árbitros do interior, a estrutura e a insegurança dos estádios foram algumas das dificuldades elencadas pelos entrevistados. Além disso, o amadorismo do ofício evidencia que a necessidade de ter um emprego formal que propicie segurança financeira prejudica a dedicação as funções da arbitragem.
