There is a growing body of accumulated knowledge in various fields concerning Paralympic sport and/or sport for people with disabilities. Overall, research on this sporting phenomenon has increased, both in volume and in the diversity of perspectives and approaches addressing it. Thus, the aim of this study was to understand Brazilian scientific production on Wheelchair Rugby (WR). We conducted a descriptive and interpretive literature review based on the PRISMA method. We mapped studies across five databases and selected 26 articles authored by Brazilian researchers. We analysed metadata and identified: a) the regions and institutions where research is developed; b) the volume of production within the historical timeframe; c) the authors, fields, and journals that publish on the topic. Additionally, we identified thematic indications of the research focus based on keywords and abstracts, which were processed through the Iramuteq software. The Southeast and South regions predominate in WR research, with Unicamp standing out as a reference institution. The initial milestone is 2011, with an average of two articles per year since then. José Irineu Gorla is the most recurrent author, and Physical Education is the predominant academic field. Two thematic categories were identified: Kinanthropometry and Technical-tactical aspects.
