Abstract

La Carrera Dual es un campo de estudio emergente que centra su objeto en la conciliación entre la vida del deportista y las exigencias derivadas de la académica y/o laboral, siendo um tema de interés para diferentes áreas del saber involucradas en el deporte. El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar la cobertura de las bases de datos científicas sobre el tema “carrera dual deportiva” e identificar las bases de datos más importantes para el área. La metodología implementada consistió en realizar una revisión bibliométrica a seis bases de datos científicas, basados en los criterios de búsqueda establecidos en idioma inglés, español y portugués. Como resultado se encontró que dos bases de datos concentran en 90% de la producción total sobre el “Carrera Dual Deportiva”; así mismo tres bases de datos concentran el 50% de los artículos que no se encuentran publicados en las bases de datos anteriormente mencionadas, convietiendose en un espacio útil para indagar sobre estudios en Latinoamérica y el Caribe.
