This study presents mammal records obtained through camera trapping along a trail in the Environmental Protection Area (EPA) of the Piava River, located in northwestern Paraná, Brazil. The monitoring took place between March 2024 and March 2025, totaling 13 consecutive months. A total of 19 wild mammal species were recorded, distributed across seven orders, with a predominance of Carnivora and Rodentia. Rodents were the most frequently recorded, while carnivores represented the greatest species richness. Most records indicated nocturnal activity, especially among felids. The frequent presence of domestic and exotic species, such as dogs and cats, underscores their potential impact on native fauna. These findings highlight the Piava River EPA’s function as a refuge for wild species, including threatened ones, and reinforce the need for continued monitoring to support local conservation strategies.
