Fulgorids (Hemiptera: Fulgoridae) are sap-sucking phytophagous insects known for their large size (O’ Brien 2002), head processes (O’ Brien 1988) and coloration – shown aposematism in some cases (Kim et al. 2011). Although the evolutionary relationships of the family have made significant advances in recent decades (Urban & Cryan, 2009; Deng et al. 2024), knowledge, especially of descriptions of the species, remains limited to publications from the 19th and 20th centuries. This limitation is accentuated in Neotropical groups, such as Zeunasa Distant, 1906. This genus comprehends 13 Neotropical species, of which four occur in Brazil. In this work, we present the redescription of Zeunasa germari (Gerstaecker, 1860), following the pattern of recent descriptions of fulgorids (Constant & Pham, 2019; Constant & Pham, 2022), and using the methods and nomenclature of Seidel & Wessel (2013) for the treatment of the male genitalia. The material examined belongs to the entomological collection of the Museu de Ciências e Tecnologias da Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul, Porto Alegre (MCTP). The photos were taken using a Leica M205A stereomicroscope with a DMC 2900 camera attached and edited in software Photoshop and GIMP.
