Escala de desenvolvimento gonadal e tamanho de primeira maturação de fêmeas de Mugil platanus Günther, 1880 da Baía de Paranaguá, Paraná, Brasil

Para o estudo da biologia reprodutiva da tainha (Mugil platanus, Günther,1880) da baía de Paranaguá, PR, foram realizadas coletas mensais durante o período de janeiro de 1985 a dezembro de 1986. Com base em observações macroscópicas de 109 ovários foi possível sugerirmos uma escala de desenvolvimento gonadal dividida em seis estádios: imaturo, início de maturação, maturação intermediária, maduro, desovado e em recuperação. Estimou-se o comprimento total médio em que 50% de fêmeas da população atingem a primeira maturação sexual (L50), e o comprimento total médio em que todas estão aptas a participarem do processo reprodutivo (L100).
ABSTRACT
Samplings were monthly taken between January/1985 and December/ 1986 in order to analyse the reproductive biology of Mugil platanus Günther,1880. After observing 109 ovaries, we could suggest six gonad developmental stages: imature, begining of maturation, intermediate maturation, ripe, spent and recovering. The average length at the first sexual maturity, and the length in which all the females became adults were both estimated.
RÉSUMÉ
Pour létude de la biologie reproductive du cabot (Mugil platanus, Günther, 1880) de la baie de Paranagua, PR, ont été realisées des récoltes mensuelles pendant la période de janvier 1985 à décembre 1986. Basé sur des observations macroscopiques des ovaires de 109 exemplaires, on a pu suggérer une echelle de maturation gonadique divisé en six étapes: imature, debut de maturation, maturation intermediaire, mature, frayé et en récuperation. Ca a été évalué la longueur totale moyenne ou 50% de femelles de la population ont atteint la première maturation sexuelle et la longueur totale moyenne ou elles sont toutes prêtes à participer du processus reproductif.
