O mototaxismo é uma atividade informal que surgiu no país após a crise financeira da década de 1990 para absorver a mão de obra desempregada. Por ser baseado em veículo de baixo custo operacional e diante da precariedade do transporte público urbano, o mototáxi tornou-se um importante meio de locomoção nos centros urbanos. Entretanto, a atividade ainda não foi regulamentada em muitos municípios. Neste sentido, este trabalho tem por objetivo principal analisar a escolaridade dos mototaxistas para verificar se ela influencia na entrada e permanência destes trabalhadores na atividade informal.
