O estudo aborda implicações da noção junguiana de imaginação na produção de conhecimento científico em psicologia. São expostos os modelos de Robert Romanyshyn e Susan Rowland, e a hermenêutica junguiana é discutida para propor uma revisão da relação sujeito-objeto e uma abertura ao inconsciente na pesquisa, admitindo a criatividade como via de transformação dessa relação ao longo do método. Aplicam-se os conceitos explorados à pesquisa de Brito (2024) sobre a obra Com meus olhos de cão, de Hilda Hilst, visto que integra a perspectiva crítica de Gloria Anzaldúa, incorpora elementos como sonhos e sincronicidades em seu método e reflete a convergência entre arte, psicologia e ciência. A conclusão destaca as implicações da admissão da espontaneidade criativa do inconsciente na metodologia, como a preservação do valor simbólico e a transdisciplinaridade.
