Abstract

The objective of the present experiment was to evaluate the bacteria vertical distribution in two forest ecosystems, separately analyzed. The researches were conducted in Tijucas do Sul/PR, on the Subtropical Ombrophilous Forest (Araucaria Forest) and P. taeda manmade forest. The experiment was conducted using a 3x2 factorial arrangement in random blocks, with two factors: depth (litter, transition zone and soil) and two seasons (winter and summer), with tree replications. The Subtropical Ombrophilous Forest topographic sequence was classified as plain, hillside and top, on which was placed a 10,000 m² plots, each one was subdivided in one hundred subplots. The P. taeda manmade forest topographic sequence was classified as plain and it was used the same sampling procedure as before. The dates from the Subtropical Ombrophilous Forest and the pinus manmade forest were analyzed separately. The blocks in both ecosystems were considered homogeneous, showing that the sampling procedure used was appropriate for the work development. The transformed data averages considered homogeneous, according to Hartley test, were compared by the Tukey test, from about 95% of probability. The higher number of bacteria occurred in the transition area and summer in Subtropical Ombrophilous Forest; therefore, there were no significant difference in the Pinus taeda manmade forest according to the depth and seasons.
