It’s an experience account carried out with a patient from a Primary Health Care Unit in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba City/ Brazil during the Nursing Course, practical classes on Home Care (9th semester) at Federal University of Paraná. The patient had undergone revascularization of the left inferior limb and further transmetatarsal amputation of the left foot, thus requiring home nursing care. An actually fruitful experience was described where students visited the patient and, for about 60 days, delivered nursing care. Therefore, they fostered the patient’s health conditions, and concomitantly his wife also enjoyed the benefits of this care delivery, effecting a reorganization of home context.
