Homo clonicus: ¿entre la naturaleza y la cultura?

Resumo

A criação da ovelha clonada Dolly em 1997 é apenas um exemplo dos avanços vertiginosos em biotecnologia que foram impulsionados pelo fascínio que a conquista dos últimos segredos da vida exerce sobre os cientistas. No presente artigo, pretendo tratar de três dimensões antropológicas que geralmente ficam ocultas no desenvolvimento das ciências chamadas naturais. Em primeiro lugar, a biotecnologia, longe de transgredir a suposta oposição vigente entre natureza e cultura, mostra o caráter histórico-cultural do dualismo cartesiano. Em segundo lugar, para compreender a clonagem em toda a sua significação sociocultural e material é preciso, de fato, fazer uma análise ao mesmo tempo biológica e antropológica que dê atenção à interação entre cultura e natureza. Finalmente, em terceiro lugar, apenas uma interpelação feminista da biotecnologia, assim como da clonagem, será capaz de divisar o porquê dos “óvulos de ouro”.
