Abstract

Internacionalización suele significar en la ciencia: hablar, escribir y publicar en inglés. El Congreso de la Asociación Latinoamericana de Estudios Socioculturales del Deporte (ALESDE), que celebró su novena edición en septiembre 2024, se desarrolló en las lenguas oficiales de sus países miembros: español y portugués. Mientras que ALESDE es un evento poco conocido en Alemania, mi participación en el congreso me permite afirmar que existen numerosos vínculos, paralelos y similitudes entre las comunidades científicas de los estudios sociales del deporte en América Latina y Alemania. En ese sentido, las diferencias funcionan como fuente de inspiración y este texto intenta reponerlas.
