Abstract

The objective of the work was to verify the earwig occurrence in orchards of peach trees, as well as its population fluctuation. Hundred and twenty strip traps were installed in four peach orchards, located municipality of Araucaria, Paraná, from October of 2005 to October of 2006. The species of earwig found was Doru lineare (Eschs. 1822). The largest populations of D. lineare were registered between May and August, during the dormancy period of peach and the absence of the insect in the traps was verified during the vegetative period of the plants.
