Abstract

Seeking to identify thrips species associated to onion at Araucaria, Paraná, a random sampling was taken from a hectare of onion, cultivar Bola Tropical. The collect was made by beating the plants over a white cloth and the captured insects were transferred to jars of AGA solution. The thrips collected were separated in morfoespecies, mounted in permanent microscope slides and identified. Were registered the species: Frankliniella occidentalis (Pergande, 1895), Frankliniella schultzei (Trybom, 1910) and Thrips tabaci (Lindeman, 1889).
