Estudo experimental da ação do verapamil em arritmias supraventriculares

Foi realizado um estudo experimental da ação antiarrítmica do verapamil em cães com arritmias supraventriculares induzidas pela aplicação tópica de acetilcolina no átrio direito ou por estímulo elétrico bipolar. Em ambos os casos, o verapamil se revelou eficiente, aumentando o período refratário da junção A-V e revelando ação direta, ao nível da musculatura atrial, nos casos de fibrilação atrial, induzida pela aplicação tópica de acetilcolina.
ABSTRACT
An experimental analysis of the antiarrhythmic action of verapamil was done using dogs with supraventricular arrhythmias induced by topic application of acetylcholine on right atrium or by electric bipolar stimulation. In both situations verapamil was efficacious augmenting the refractory period of the A-V junction and showing a direct action on atrial muscle when atrial fibrillation was induced by topic application of acetylcholine.
RÉSUMÉ
Laction anti-arythmique du vérapamil a été étudiée sur les arythmies supraventriculaires provoquées, chez le chien, soit par lapplication locale dacétylcholine sur loreillette droite, soit par stimulation électrique bipolaire directe. Dans tous les cas le vérapamil a augmenté le période réfractaire du noeud A-V et a eu une action directe sur le myocarde auriculaire, quand la fibrillation auriculaire était due à lapplication locale dacétylcholine.
