A Intuição Formal na Dedução Transcendental B

A intuição formal é a definição que Kant dá às representações de espaço e de tempo como intuições mesmas (KrV, B160-161n.). Na literatura de comentários de Kant, trata-se mais amplamente das implicações dessa definição para a compreensão da economia argumentativa da Crítica da Razão Pura, mais especificamente da relação entre a Estética Transcendental e a dedução transcendental B (2ª edição). Contudo, mesmo que se busque investigar essa questão, é preciso que se questione a função que a intuição formal tem na dedução transcendental B, a fim de se verificar por que as intuições do espaço e do tempo são necessárias. O presente artigo tem o objetivo de esclarecer essa função, demonstrando que a prova da validade objetiva das categorias depende das representações de espaço e de tempo como intuições formais, pois, sem elas, a determinação completa dos objetos da sensibilidade humana não seria possível. Esclarecer esse ponto não apenas permite a compreensão da prova contida na dedução transcendental B, mas confere um primeiro passo para solucionar os problemas argumentativos da Crítica, uma vez que se compreende o papel do espaço e do tempo na aplicação das categorias aos objetos sensíveis.
