Resumo

O trabalho de Henry E. Allison se insere no que podemos chamar de kantismo analítico, uma recuperação de elementos centrais do pensamento kantiano num contexto filosófico analítico que se iniciou em 1966 com a obra de Strawson, The Bounds of Sense. No cerne da investigação filosófica de Allison no livro Kant´s Transcendental Idealism está a intenção de reabilitar o idealismo sob uma forma aceitável para a filosofia analítica contemporânea. Para entender melhor o alcance e a importância desse projeto, neste artigo proponho uma recapitulação da relação, muitas vezes complexa e problemática, da tradição analítica com a filosofia teórica de Kant.

Biografia do Autor

Alexandre Alves, UFRGS

Possui graduação em história e filosofia, mestrado e doutorado em História Econômica pela Universidade de São Paulo (USP). De 2007 a 2011, foi Pesquisador Colaborador no departamento de História da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). De 2012 a 2014, foi professor adjunto temporário na Escola Paulista de Política, Economia e Negócios da Universidade Federal de São Paulo (EPPEN-UNIFESP). Entre 2015 e 2019, foi professor e pesquisador no Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação da Universidade do Vale do Rio dos Sinos (UNISINOS). É também coautor de diversas obras didáticas para o ensino de história aprovadas e adotadas pelo Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD). Tem índice h9 no Google Scholar.
