O papel do capital social na prevenção e resolução de conflitos na gestão comunitária dos recursos naturais: uma revisão de literatura

Apesar do crescente reconhecimento da importância do capital social para o desenvolvimento, persiste uma lacuna na forma como ele influencia a prevenção e a resolução de conflitos relacionados à gestão comunitária de recursos naturais. Este artigo, por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica, visa elucidar experiências internacionais sobre o papel do capital social na prevenção e resolução de conflitos no manejo de recursos naturais. Os resultados sugerem que o fortalecimento do capital social deve fazer parte das estratégias de Gestão Comunitária de Recursos Naturais. Isso, por sua vez, implica o reconhecimento e a valorização do conhecimento e das estruturas locais, a promoção da equidade e a garantia de políticas públicas coerentes.
