Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The articles shall, mandatorily, be accompanied by: (a) an abstract of the text in Portuguese and English containing between 75 and 150 words; (b) six key words for bibliographical indexing.
  • The bibliographical references used shall be presented at the end of the article, listed in alphabetical order, obeying the following norms (NBR 6023): Book: SURNAME, First name (abbreviated). Year. Title in italics: subtitle. Number of the edition, should it not be the first. Place of publication: Name of publishing company. Collection: SURNAME, First name (abbreviated). Year. Title of essay. In: SURNAME, First name (abbreviated) of the organizer(s).Title of the collection in italics: subtitle. Number of edition, should it not be the first. Place of publication: name of publishing company. Article in periodical: SURNAME, First name (abbreviated). Year. Title of article. Name of periodical in italics, place of publication, volume and number of periodical, interval of pages of article, period of publication. Dissertations and theses: SURNAME, First name (abbreviated). Year. Title in italics. Place. Total number of pages. Academic degree and area of studies [Dissertation (Master's) or Thesis (Doctorate)]. Institution in which it was presented. Internet (electronic documents): SURNAME, First name (abbreviated). (Year). Title in italics, [Online]. Producer. Availability: access. [date of access]. *It is requested that applicants rigorously observe and follow the sequence and the punctuation indicated.

  • The references to authors in the main body of the article shall obey the following scheme: (SURNAME OF AUTHOR, date) or (SURNAME OF AUTHOR, date, page). E.g: (DESCARTES, 1979) or (DESCARTES, 1979, p. 64). Different titles by the same author published in the same year shall be identified by a letter after the date. E.g: (PLATO, 1989a), (PLATO, 1989b).
      
  • The footnotes shall be substantive in nature, limited at an absolute minimum and indicated by arabic numerals in ascending order.

Author Guidelines

1. Doispontos journal accepts original articles and bibliographic reviews in the following languages: Portuguese, English, French, Italian and Spanish. 2. Only articles and bibliographic reviews which address the theme selected for the issue in question, announced in the preceding volumes (see alsohttp://ojs.c3sl.ufpr.br/ojs2/index.php/doispontos/announcement), will be considered. Except in exceptional cases, articles are not to exceed 14,000 words, including notes and bibliographic references, and they must present at the beginning of the test a complete reference list of the works consulted. 3. The decision on publishing articles falls to the Editors based on the evaluation made by the Journal Editorial Board. Each article shall receive two decisions, which may: (a) recommend publication; (b) recommend publication, on condition that changes be made; or (c) refuse publication. The publication of the articles approved by the decision-makers shall, however, depend on the Journal's budget. 4. The authors shall be notified of the receiving of the contributions. 5. The decision on publication of reviews falls to the Editor of Reviews. 6. The editors reserve the right to suggest to the author modifications of format, so as to adapt the contributions to the journal's editorial and graphical standards. 7. Assertions and concepts issued in signed articles are the absolute responsibility of the authors. The presentation of the contributions to the editorial body entails the cession of the priority for publication to the doispontos journal, as well as cession of copyright of the texts published, which may only be reproduced with the express authorization of the Editors. The collaborators shall retain the right to re-use the material published in future collections of their work, without payment of fees to the Journal doispontos. Permission for re-edition or translation of the material published, by third parties, shall not be given without the author's consent. NORMS FOR PRESENTATION OF ARTICLE 1. Sending of articles or bibliographic reviews shall be done electronically, via the Journal's Electronic System (Sistema Eletrônico de Revista, SER), available on the page of the Dean's Office for Research and Post-graduate Courses, Federal University of Paraná (http://www.prppg.ufpr.br/), which provides access to the electronic version of doispontos. 2. Doispontos journal shall not be obliged to return the originals of the contributions sent by post. 8. The author(s) of work published in the doispontos Journal shall receive three (03) copies of the journal.
