The text intends to develop the thesis that Glaucon, Plato’s brother and Socrates’ main interlocutor in Republic, exhibits qualities like those required to guardians and philosopher, in ideal city elaborated in logos by Socrates and interlocutors. The aim is to show that we can find these qualities in some passages of text and to get some conclusions about the sense of that dialogue and platonic philosophy as a whole.
