INTEGRAÇÃO DO GPS E DA ECOBATIMETRIA

RESUMO No âmbito marinho, muitas têm sido as técnicas utilizadas para o posicionamento de uma embarcação. Inicialmente, o homem recorreu à navegação astronômica ou a métodos expeditos. Com o avanço das ciências e da tecnologia, novos equipamentos e métodos foram sendo desenvolvidos, possibilitando melhorar a precisão para esses posicionamentos. Desde 1985, o sistema de navegação por satélites GPS (Global Positioning System) vem sendo utilizado nessa área e se tornou muito atraente, em função das suas propriedades predominantes: disponibilidade contínua, fácil aplicação e independência em relação às condições meteorológicas. O presente trabalho mostra a utilização do GPS, a sua conexão com o sistema ecobatimétrico e os cuidados a serem adotados.
Abstract
Through out the years several techniques have been used for navigation in marine environment. At the beginning of the history of navigation astronomy provided the means to measure latitude and azimute. Later, with the development of clocks, longitude determination became feasible. The most recent and revolutionary development on navigation was made by NAVSTAR-GPS, making continuous positioning possible at any weather conditions, any time and anywhere on Earth. This paper shows applications of NAVSTAR-GPS in sensor navigation.
