Introduction: This article aims to observe, in a theoretical and exploratory way, the invisibility caused by the excessive production of information, especially images. Observe how the image, technically reproduced, mainly through digital media, ends up creating a cycle of invisibilities. Concomitantly with this cycle of invisibilities, technical reproduction has produced a narcissistic process in social relations, which leads humans to worship their own ideas, weakening their relationship with others. Therefore, the problem is based on the issue that the excessive production of images in digital media, in Late Modernity, brings invisibility, expanding individualism, and weakening otherness. Method: Taking these reflections into account, in order to observe the effect of invisibility caused by information and images, in addition to the weakening of otherness, influenced by the cult of the image, we intend to use Michel Foucault's archaeological method, based on Giorgio Agamben's review, to reveal the paradigms and signatures that make up the human discourse of a given era. Results: As a result, we intend to present a reflection on the relationship between image production, the weakening of otherness and individualism in Late Modernity. Conclusion: Therefore, by self-worship on social networks, excessively expanding the production of images, especially in digital media, humans produce a disconnection with others, creating a weakening of social relations, a weakening of otherness and an increase in individualism, through a narcissistic movement of valuing the self.
