Knowledge management in operations projects in a cosmetics industry

Introduction: Companies for big challenges in the modern era have quickly adapted to companies by the market. In this context, knowledge management (KM) is a partnership and competitive advantages. However, some companies have difficulties in disseminating KM and potentiating its use in projects, meeting the needs of our customers and operationalizing agility. To develop an action plan to improve KM in an operations industry, the present study aims to identify practices, influencing factors and tools used in knowledge management of operations projects. Method: For the collection of information, an online participant was applied, with 17 objective questions for all operations projects in the two years. Results: The employees51 responses, survey the use of various practices of storage, retrieval and retrieval of knowledge by storage and the company of tools for storing knowledge. The hindering factors indicated by the employees were: prioritization of other activities, turnover of members and low integration between areas. On the other hand, the facilitating factors were project management practices; the definition of roles and digital systems and files. Conclusion: The frequency of creation of KM practices can be improved with the application of the proposed action plan, which comprises the inclusion of KM in the change objectives, a creation of communities to exchange practices and a corporate mentoring program.
