Biological-cultural bases of language: a look at the individual, the niche and the language in organizations

Abstract

Introduction: outlines a reflection on the implications that the perspective of the Cultural-Biological Language of Humberto Maturana (1928-2021) can bring to human relationships and actions in organizations, considering Ludwig von Bertalanffy's (1901-1972) General Theory of Systems (TGS). The motivating question of the research is: what kind of contributions in the way of thinking, planning and executing actions, the perceptions of Cultural-Biology about individual, niche and language can bring to organizational systems? Methodology: This research is of an exploratory theoretical character and of a qualitative nature, therefor it is classified as a bibliographic research that starts from the survey of sources in databases related to the fields of study. Results: as the main result for the theoretical field, the article thickens the knowledge in the areas of study aimed at organizations that assume the complex and uncertain condition that is increasingly present in current organizational systems. Conclusion: the research points out that organizational development must include the training of internal and external employees in order to achieve the necessary intensity for relevant results. In the end, it considers that thinking strategies and practices of better understanding regarding the functioning and the potentialization of individuals (people, observers, collaborators) and niches (systems, environments, organizations) based on the use of language, could minimize individual and organizational distances.
